Why Don't Women Look and Act Like Women Anymore?

In an age when the sexes are becoming so blurred, it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell who is a man and who is a woman. With the popularity of unisex clothing it is no wonder our kids are confused, but shouldn't adults know better? We find ourselves as a society so easily swayed to accept the next popular trend, whether it be clothing or something else. It seems few people have enough discernment to wade through the nonsense and filter what they see through God's view of what is right and wrong. I will focus on the external appearance of women in this blog. Please refer to my recent blog, “What Is A Woman?” to find the internal traits of a real woman according to God's Word. https://www.seekingthenarrowway.org/post/what-is-a-woman

I recently saw pictures of Lizzo who is an American singer/songwriter. I was appalled at her appearance on various fronts. She was wearing a very gross tight outfit at a stage performance, with other dancers around her who were also dressed in similar attire. In addition, these tight outfits were all encasing fat women, which made the pictures all the more nauseating to look at. Furthermore, Lizzo admits she is fat, and seems to consider it a badge of honor in promoting her apparel line. I would direct Lizzo and her associates to Philippians 3:19 which states, “whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.” Being overweight and obese is gluttony, and a serious sin which will ultimately cast Lizzo into hell where she will experience eternal torment and agony in an inferno of fire if she does not have a change of mind according to God's Word. Please refer to blogs regarding being overweight as a serious sin. https://www.seekingthenarrowway.org/post/did-you-know-that-being-overweight-is-a-serious-sin-part-1 and https://www.seekingthenarrowway.org/post/did-you-know-that-being-overweight-is-a-serious-sin-part-2

The predominant apparel for many women today is blue jeans, capris, and yoga pants. Where did all the skirts and dresses go? Special occasions seem to be the only time you might see dresses and skirts on women. Ladies, you will turn the heads of both men and women by wearing a modest yet attractive skirt or dress in public. You will find that people will treat you differently, complimenting you and maybe opening the door for you. Seeing yoga pants on an overweight or obese woman is not feminine at all, it is just plain ugly. Ladies, take the time to present yourselves appropriately and exhibit the feminine qualities that God instructs you to show while in public. God says in 1 Timothy 2:9 “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments, but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness”.

You can visually see the vanity in a woman by what she wears; especially, the gaudiness of tight fitting clothing on a fat body. Ladies, try not to dress and act like men. If you truly are a woman, then begin to make an effort in presenting yourself as an attractive and feminine woman as directed in God's Word. Ladies, your good works and apparel is a direct testimony to who you are in public. Skirts and dresses are better options to blue jeans, capris and yoga pants. There is a place for jeans, capris, and yoga pants, but not as normal apparel every day.
